These are a "last skein" of a colorway that didn't quite sell through, or a Yarn of the Month shade that never found its person the first time around. Instead of letting those hang around the studio feeling unwanted, I've been pairing them with a coordinating mini skein, same base, to make proper sock sets.
The yarn weight is marked so you know what you're working with; (f) for fingering, (dk) for DK. Once a set is gone, that particular combination won't come back, so what you see is what exists.
If you've been circling a colorway that sold out before you got to it, this is probably your best shot at it.
